Whew what a whirlwind 2023 was. Now that it’s in our rearview mirror let’s take a look at what happened in ‘23 and what we can look forward to in ‘24.

We said goodbye to TD Ameritrade and hello to Schwab given the Schwab acquisition of TD. We want to thank you for your patience and understanding during the transition. This was a huge undertaking and we are aware that it wasn’t smooth sailing in the seas of Schwab at all times.

We welcomed multiple new talents to the team so there are now more of us to take care of you! Get to know a little more about Wahidah, Gerald, Lindsey, and Rachel Shin here. Our own Barbara is now a registered notary and available for all of your notarizing needs in office. You now have one less excuse not to get your estate documents in order!

We suffered the devastating loss of our dear friend and beloved, Pam. We miss her terribly and are still trying to fill the hole in our hearts while giving you all the love she did. We will be honoring her and her love army of supporters with this year’s PanCAN walk in SF in April.

We are excited to welcome back our Director of Operations, Michael Telford, to San Francisco to join us in the office starting in January! Michael, Hannah and their pup Cali are driving cross country so Michael can spearhead operational excellence with boots on the ground. Lindsey, too, has decided to make the Bay Area home again and is settling in with her pup Pancho in their new digs.

We spent two days planning how our team can elevate the client experience and serve you better. Part of that time was reviewing the client survey results and in addition to swift attention, we know that you want more in house tax planning solutions. We also learned folks want more opportunities to talk about what retirement looks like beyond the numbers. We’ll be introducing What’s Next, our retirement round table and brainstorm. We are also doubling down on community involvement and will be reintroducing a Brio Gives Back in person charitable day of service - more to come on that!

We appreciate you and are so grateful for you and the trust you extend to us. We are forever humbled by the referrals you send our way. Helping those that you love is the highest honor, thank you.
